I received another ADORABLE birthday card in the mail that I wanted to be sure to share on my blog. This card was sent to me by my friend and team member, Janice.

Nickelback put on a great show!

Well, its the morning after the Nickelback concert and what a fun night it was! :) I had bought the tickets for Becca as her gift for her birthday even though we also left for Disneyland that day. :o) But it was also cool that the concert event just happened to fall on the 28th...the day after my birthday...so it really ended up being quite the treat for both of us. :)

Traffic was a mess getting there (took us over an hour to get out of Portland when it usually only takes us 20 minutes) so we missed the first act, Saving Abel...bummer! We did get to see all the other bands, though. Papa Roach was really good (and quite the potty mouth...lol!)...Hinder was good (from what we saw of them...I'm not really a fan, though...lol), and then of course Nickelback put on an AWESOME show! Did a lot of their more popular songs and a few that I haven't familiarized myself with...I'm sure we'll be downloading the rest of their albums from iTunes today...LOL! They played for a couple of hours and really did a great job. :)

One of Becca's friends was also at the concert so she came and found Becca and said "Hi"...I took their picture, of course, which I know for a fact they thought it was goofy. Oh well! LOL Other than that, everytime I would hop into the isle to take a picture this one guy off to my left would hop out of his seat to come talk to me. LOL Becca and I thought it was pretty funny, really! He kept asking for my number and trying to convince me why I should date him but I just wouldn't give in. Missed opportunity...guess I'll never know. :o)

1- I'm very good at slackin' / procrastinatin'...there I said it, in public even, EEK!
2- I secretly love the song "Bust a Move" by Young MC! LOL Boy that's embarrassing to admit!
3- *SHOCK ALERT* - I have only ever completed 1 scrapbook album and that was for my parents in 2004 when they took my family and I to Disneyland. :o)
4- I'm a Facebook junkie...but then again, most of you already knew that...its just taken me this long to see past the whole fake denial thing I have goin' on! LOL
5- I haven't ever figured out who would be on my "short list"...you know, the hot actor that its ok to be with if he came knockin' on my door. LOL
6- And speaking of "short"...I am absolutely positively against short guys being with taller girls cuz its just plain unnatural! LOL Sorry if this offends anyone but for me its just a no-can-do...and my girls aren't allowed to date or marry anyone shorter than them either. LOL
7- Thinks its fun to make up stupid dances to songs like "Get Low" in the car with her girls! :P
8- Loves bracelets, shoes, and shopping for dresses as much as Starbucks, Cupcakes, Sushi, and Martinis! What can I say? I'm a frickin' girly-girl! :P
9- Wishes my Fairy Godmother was REALLY just a teardrop away and not a figment of my imagination cuz what I really need is a maid and a cook and an assistant...OH, and a MAN! :P
10- I LOVE getting comments on my blog. They make my day and make me feel really good inside!

A beautiful bouquet...

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face because today is my special day - Yes, its my Birthday, Yay! It's so nice to be 21 again~ LOL! ;)

I wanted to be sure to post a picture of the beautiful bouquet of pink roses I received in the mail yesterday from a good friend of mine that I've known for many years. With the warm weather we had yesterday the flowers opened up nicely by mid evening and look gorgeous in the vase I put them in.

Its my Birthday week!

Yep, my birthday week has officially begun! Woohoo! :)

I've had a couple of handmade birthday cards roll in over the last couple of weeks that I still need to post on my blog since I know all you CTMH junkies love to be inspired. ;) Believe me...the cards are beautiful and you won't be disappointed in what I have to share!

However, for today, I wanted to post a picture of my very first PRESENT that I received. I couldn't be more excited about it!! It's a preloaded Starbucks gift card - YUM!! I've already visited Starbucks this morning, too, and lets just say that I think it was the best tasting drink I've had in a while!! YAY! :)) Becca and I each indulged in a N/F Grande Caramel Macchiato with 1 pump Raspberry Syrup...Mmmm! Mmmm! Good! Alyssa didn't want anything today...but no worries, there's always tomorrow! :)

Thank you soooo much, Matt, for being so generous and for remembering my birthday! I love it!! It's the most perfect present you could get this Starbucks drinkin' junkie. :o)

Sadness or Growth?

For those of you that follow me on Facebook and Twitter, you may have caught a glimpse of my not-so-cheerful life (that I'm reluctant to get into) over the last several months. :(

Well, both my Mom and one of my very sweet friends suggested to me recently that I needed to do something special for myself this weekend because they think I deserve a little bit of pampering after everything I've been through in my life lately. So, I posted today that I wanted to buy myself a bracelet to help "Brighton" my day. Good idea, right?

Well, the problem with my purchase was that by purchasing it I didn't know if it would represent the sadness I've been feeling or if it would represent growth toward better things to come. Well, once my eyes happened upon this beautiful bracelet I wanted (and yes I love bracelets as much as Sushi, Cupcakes, Lattes, & Martinis! LOL) I knew right off it would represent new GROWTH in my life. It reminds me of a growing Daisy and I think it's absolutely beautiful. The problem is that Brighton no longer has it in stock and so I had to order it in. I'll know by tomorrow afternoon if I'm still able to get it. *fingers are crossed tightly* :)

Here's to new Growth toward a bigger and brighter future filled with lots of love. :)

Friends to the End...

Do you have a special friend in your life that is so sweet and special that she will randomly send a card or gift to just let you know she misses you? I do. Her name is Pam B. and she sent me this ADORABLE card in the mail about mid July and shame on me for just now getting around to posting it and saying thank you! Pam wrote the sweetest note inside and I couldn't help but cry when I read her beautiful words. I'm so glad that I have someone as sweet as Pam in my life to help me remember that my friends love and care about me.

I'm absolutely floored!

Hello to all my bloggin' junkies! Do you even remember who I am? LOL

I just got back from the 2009 Close To My Heart Leadership Conference in Long Beach, CA...and what a GREAT time I had! It was so fantastic seeing all of my favorite Close To My Heart friends that I love so much and its always great to get a sneak peak of the upcoming Idea Book goodies, too!

I wanted to post this picture of me with Jeanette Lynton, Founder and CEO of Close To My Heart, and just say how floored I am that after everything I've been through this past year (neck/back issues and a divorce) that I was (and still am!) in shock that I placed in the top 10 for recruiting Nationally for the 6th year in a row!

I have the best team and most wonderful friends EVER!! Thank you for blessing me with the most wonderful gift anyone could give... Love, support, and friendship. :)
