Chocolate & Beer, oh my!

We hopped a morning train to Brugge, Belgium this morning...how exciting! Kent has been telling us how this is the chocolate and beer capitol of the world and I have to add that he sure didn't disappoint! ;) I liked Brugge very much...much better than Paris but London is still my favorite at this point. The town was quaint, old, and very historic. Kent and Tina went on a boat tour and I guess the guide mentioned that there were something like 400 bars in Brugge and 18 Churches...very interesting!

We saw the inside of a Catholic Cathedral, explored "Old Town"...and of course OVER ATE! UGH! I swear, the only thing I ate today was chocolate, waffles, breads, quiche, and 1 actual meal. I'm so bloated feeling tonight I could burst. ACK!! I hope Spain (tomorrow) has gross food so I can get back to watching what I eat...LOL! Fat chance, eh? ;)

There was a big football game in town so there were a lot of drunken guys wandering the streets and hanging out in the pubs. It was funny actually! We met a couple of them as we were passing by because they wanted to know where the nearest place to shower was...um, yeah, like we know that! The guy we talked to flipped his cookies when he found out we were from Oregon. He was very proud of the fact that he has been to Lincoln City. Oooh~ Ahhh~ LOL Oh well...he seemed nice...unlike his drunken friends. Aaron did most of the talking with him and bonded quite nicely. The guy even told Aaron that the best place to find good lookin' women is in Prauge. Um, what am I chopped liver?! LOL

Well, off to bed I go. We have to get up at 5am to catch a train to the airport. Once there we are catching a plane to Barcelona where we are renting a car and driving 1.5 hours out of the city to stay in a Parador (castle) for a couple of nights. This could be lots of fun! Can't wait! :)

P.s. - Oh, and I'm having a hard time uploading photos. :( I'll keep trying, though. Also, I'm not sure how much the internet connection fee is in Barcelona so if you don't hear from me for a few days you'll know why. I'll do my best to log in, though. :)

*UPDATE* - if I'm unable to upload photos I will reupdate when I have a better connection or when I return home. Sound good? :)
